hi!! i looked up the boots you mentioned a bit ago and they seem amazing, but they aren't made small enough for me :"| do you have any similar recommendations for folks with smaller feet?
Hi!!! I'm sorry to hear that :( work boot sizing can be really frustrating for folks with small feet. I don't have personal experience working with any of these shoe companies for personalized sizing or small sizes, but I've heard glowing reviews of Keens, Xena Workwear, Blundstones, Servus, and Caterpillar for workboots in small sizes. Redwing also will do in-store measurements for small or custom sizes, and makes some shoes all the way down to a women's size 5 (men's 3.5), but they're pricy!

Weird question but do you have a preference for popular Aussie boots? Blundstone's are crazy popular in Canada, but I've seen reviews that people prefer Redbacks because they're actually made in Australia and hella comfy
Hey lovely! Never apologise for questions, my inbox is always open.
However, I literally know nothing about boots, Australian or otherwise. I know that people here do love their Blundstones and their RM Williams. I have never heard of Redbacks but a quick google shows me they look pretty good.
I say go for what you can afford but try to pay the most you can for quality. Good boots are an investment. I still have a pair of hiking boots from the UK that must be 20+ years old and still going strong.
I have always said that should I ever be lucky enough to land a book deal that the first thing I will buy is a pair of purple DMs because I've wanted them since I was 13 years old and my mum refused to buy them for me. All these years later, I have never been able to justify the expense.
Good luck with the decision. Let me know what you buy. 💜

Pierced
a/n: tattoo artist!Shawn AU. 2.1k. just a lil somethin’ i was thinking about. enjoy
You took a deep breath, calming your nerves as you eyed the dingy building. It wasn’t the best pocket of town and it definitely wasn’t the best decision you’d ever made in your life, but it was decided—you were getting another ear piercing.
“Ready?” your best friend, Shelby, asked. You’d done this a few times, yes, but it was always a good idea to have someone with you under circumstances like these.
“Yeah,” you nodded, trying to convince her just as much as you were yourself, “I need this, right? It’s time for change, all that?” you babbled, talking with your hands as the two of you crossed the street, your Blundstones clunking on the asphalt as Shelby’s high-heeled boots without a doubt looked and sounded better.
“You don’t have to do this,” she shook her head in disapproval, not too keen on your coping mechanisms. Not all of us could just fly to Paris for the weekend, Shelby.
“Yes, I do. I need to even them out anyw-“ you began, stopping dead in your tracks at the sight of the brunette behind the counter. His features were strong and chiseled as he scrolled on the mounted tablet, the light from the screen illuminating his face. It’s a good face, you thought to yourself.
But your thoughts were interrupted—no, de-fucking-railed--as Shelby smacked into your backside, clearly not noticing that you’d stopped and she kept going. Of course, pretty boy was looking right at you.
No turning back now. You silently cursed your bestie as the two of you sauntered over to the desk, exchanging a knowing glance. There was no denying it—he was fucking gorgeous.
Once you were standing in front of him, you could really take notice of the rest of him. He was gigantic, to start. Muscular and buff, filling out his thin white t-shirt perfectly. He fit the setting, too. Each arm was covered in ink, too much art adorning his skin to fathom in the short time you had. Your eyes raked up his body, finally settling on the face that initially took your breath away. Only this time, it was smiling right back at you.
“Can I help you?” he asked—and not in the rude way that people usually said it—a warm, kind version that had you ready to jump him on the spot. Your stomach twirled as you took notice of the thin silver hoop in his right nostril, matching the one in his left earlobe.
Shelby looked around the tattoo shop as you gently rested your forearm on the desk—Sweetcheeks taking obvious notice—and tousled your hair a bit. “I’m actually here to get a cartilage piercing, if that’s okay.”
“Of course that’s okay,” he chuckled, ejecting a wooden drawer with a clipboard in it. He handed it to you with a pen, “Just fill this out. M’ready when you are.”
You gulped, wondering if you should fill it out over in the seating area or right there at the desk. Does it make a fucking difference? Jesus, you’re acting like you’ve never done this before.
You opted for the latter, gripping the pen in your left hand as you started printing out your name, birthday, phone number, emergency contact information, all that. It was just a waiver, spewing terrifying garbage along the lines of liability issues in the case that you pass out or throw up or drop dead or explode because the guy piercing your ear was so fucking hot.
“That’s intense,” Shelby spoke over your shoulder, startling you to the point of gasping. Maybe this isn’t the best idea.
“And so it should be,” most-gorgeous-man-you’d-ever-seen-in-your-life piped up, “this is very serious business,” he was very obviously joking. His raised eyebrow and wide grin revealing his perfect fucking teeth made that clear, and you let out a nervous giggle. This was going to be a long twenty minutes.
You nodded at him, handing over the clipboard and pulling out your debit card.
You paid and took a deep breath, watching as he stood from his desk. Holy fuck, giant much? He must have been nine feet tall. Okay, maybe just over six. But damn.
“M’gonna wait out here,” Shelby winked in your direction, leaning over to gently smack your bum as receptionist-tattoo-man-piercer led to way to a little room at the back of the shop. You blushed, mouthing a “thank you” in her direction as you trailed after him like an expectant puppy.
You watched the way his muscles shifted beneath the thin fabric of his shirt, and then the tightness of the black denim clad to his gigantic legs, and then his pointy boots. Large pointy boots. You were swooning. This was bad.
“Sure you can handle it?” he turned his head and spoke teasingly, stopping to let you into the room first. You slowed down, turning to face him in passing.
Without a word, you tucked your hair behind your right ear, revealing six earrings. Three in your lobe, two in your cartilage, and one in your tragus. He nodded with a grin.
“Ah, a veteran,” the man quipped as you sat on the leather cot-like reclining chair. He stood at a table with drawers, rapidly opening and closing them in search of the right surgical steel bar for the job. “Alright, you know the drill. Where’d you say you wanted it?” he asked, parking himself right in front of you with a purple marker in-hand. You’d be kidding yourself if you weren’t thinking about taking him right here on this bench.
“Oh, um,” you stuttered, caught off guard by his expectant gaze. He looked rough, but his eyes were gentle. You wondered what his life was like outside the studio. “Left, just above this one,” you stated, pulling your hair to one side to show him what you meant.
“Oh, it’s different,” he wondered out loud, confusing you.
“What?”
“Oh, I just meant from the other one,” he muttered, pointing to your right ear. “They’re not in the same places. I like that.”
“O-oh,” you suppressed a grin, “thanks.”
And suddenly he was really fucking close and you were ready to explode. You wondered if this happened often and if any other lucky girls had spontaneously combusted in this very room, leaving him to clean up the bloody mess.
You felt his fingers resting on your cheekbone to steady your head as the marker inked a little dot on your ear, his breath tickling your neck and ready to make you fucking lose it. Again, this was bad.
“So,” you started as he leaned away, cocking his head to the side to assess the placement. “How long’ve you been doing this?”
“This for four years, tattooing for five,” he mumbled, biting his lip softly as he intensely eyed the shell of your ear. “No, I don’t like it,” he spoke, reaching for an alcohol wipe to rub the ink off your skin. You giggled, appreciating his dedication to the craft as he drew another dot. “Better. You can go have a look in the mirror.”
“I trust you,” you chuckled, only to be met with his questioning grin. “I mean, you’ve been doing this a while. And that took way longer than it should have, so,” he huffed out a laugh and you were pretty sure you were actually, physically, quite literally fucking melting. “And I already have so many, what’s one more? Even if it’s a little fucked up.”
He was laughing out loud, now.
“I’ll just leave you a bad Yelp review or something,” you added, picking at your cuticles out of nervousness.
“Can’t leave a juicy review if you don’t know my name,” he joked, almost as if he was prompting you to ask. You didn’t have to. “So if you must know, my name’s Shawn.”
“How do I know that’s not a premeditated pseudonym for when I leave that shitty Yelp review?” you smiled, watching him shake his head as he beamed from the little table, snapping some surgical gloves on his—holy fuck—gigantic hands.
“You’re a chatty one,” he quipped, clamp in hand, as he turned to face you again. His grin was ear-to-ear, and you hoped not all of his clients had him smiling this widely. Maybe he was going to be the one to combust. “Alright, lay back for me.”
Fuck. You could get used to hearing that.
You admired the view once you’d settled on the noisy leather, pulling your long hair to the right side of your head. Shawn—or so he said—stood over you, his sharp jaw clenched and his pink tongue poking out the corner of his perfect fucking mouth. His chocolate eyes were soft, juxtaposed to the rest of him. Huge. Pierced. Covered in tattoos. But somehow, a gigantic teddy bear? You’d kill to find out.
The pinch of the metal clamp tugged you from your thoughts. “Alright, you’ve got this,” he reassured, now having rolled up a chair beside your head-to-toe blushing body. You were pretty sure even your ankles were crimson. “Breathe in for me.”
You inhaled as he focused on your ear, a hot pinch flaring on the left side of your head while he pushed the thin needle through your skin.
“M’almost finished, don’t move hun,” he added. Hun. You weren’t complaining. “Stay there,” he spoke, standing from his stool to retrieve an earring backing from his chest of supplies. “Almost done,” he repeated apologetically as you winced, the pain from attaching the metal ball to the back of the bar burning the side of your head.
“Okay, good?” he asked, resting his arms on his knees as he met your gaze. You nodded. “You can sit up now,” he spoke gently, tapping your thigh and immediately looking apologetic. You couldn’t help the blush creeping back.
“Looks good,” he smiled, grabbing another alcohol wipe to clean up any residual ink from earlier. It hurt, but you were too focused on how close he was to your face to care.
You stood from your spot and made your way over to the mirror, Shawn following curiously. He stood behind you, and without thinking, reached out to tuck your hair behind your ear so you could get a better look.
“Shit, sorry,” he said, quickly looking bashful. “You definitely could’ve done that yourself.”
“S’okay,” you giggled, admiring his work. The placement was perfect and it complimented your other earrings, a classic “fuck you, dad!” echoing in the back of your brain. Piercings weren’t for everyone. “It looks really good.”
“Then I guess you’re good to go,” he gave a tight-lipped grin from his little station, carefully peeling the latex gloves from his hands so his rings didn’t come off with them.
“Okay, uh, thank you,” you smiled, lingering in the doorway as he opened his mouth as if he were about to say something, but quickly shut it, opting to shoot you a wave instead.
So you left.
But it didn’t feel right. So you popped your head back in.
His eyes snapped up to yours, a little smile finding his lips again. He was the expectant puppy this time.
“Might have to come back soon to get my nipples done,” you stated flatly, turning his cheeks a bright crimson before tapping the door frame and heading on your way, Shelby joining you outside the tattoo parlour.
She started the car, waiting anxiously for you to fucking spill already. But the front door to the shop swung open and you grinned as the tattooed giant came barreling out, frantically looking up and down the street wondering which way you’d gone.
“Over here!” you called, hopping out of the vehicle as his shit-eating grin was visible from the other side of the street. He looked both ways and jogged across the road, his smile failing to falter as you leaned against the car.
“So, uhm, sorry, I didn’t really think this through,” he giggled, your grin just as wide as his. “Would you, uh, wanna, maybe, do you wanna go on a date with me?” he asked, shoving his huge hands inside his tiny pockets.
You didn’t think about it. Didn’t need to, really. You stepped forward, closing the space between the two of you as you met his lips, gently cupping his face as you kissed him. He kissed you back softly and sweetly, resting his forehead against yours to take a breath.
“That’s a yes?”
“My number’s on the waiver,” you smiled, stepping away and climbing back into Shelby’s car, leaving him beaming on the sidewalk.

ML Counsellor AU: Post Oblivio Fanfic
This occurs roughly three days after the events of Oblivio
The teachers at the school were creatures of habit when it came to their wardrobes and the Counsellor of the school was no exception. She was almost always seen with some sort of tea cup or mug in her hands regardless of where she was, she always wore nice comfy business casual clothes that were in earth tones (seeming to favour browns, creams and tan colours) with brown Blundstone boots, she wore minimal makeup and her hair was always in a messy bun. Her style was about comfort and function, not form and fashion as it were.
So, there was a bit of a buzz happening in the school when Mlle Carmine Regal came to school in a dress and dress sandals with her hair down. Not just any kind of dress and sandals but a professional bodycon dress in a cobalt blue colour, and smart looking silver sandals. Her hair was down, in soft curls, and she was almost wearing silver earrings and bracelets which was very uncommon for the woman.
The students of Mlle Bustier’s class were discussing it just before lunch was about to happen, all of them having finished their work. Well, the girls seemed to be discussing it anyways.
.
“I’m telling you guys she has a date!” Rose insisted, absolutely giddy with the thought “Maybe it’s with her boyfriend, or her girlfriend!” She exclaimed, trying to hold back a squeal.
Chloe opened her mouth to say something, stopped for a few seconds before talking a deep breath and speaking “Although that could be a possibility, I don’t think it’s a serious date if it is one.”
A lot of the girls looked at Chloé with mixed expressions, some like Alya and Alix were with mild annoyance, well Marinette and Juleka looked at her curiously. Myléne looked kind of indifferent but Rose looked down right devastated “What do you mean it wouldn’t be a serious date?”
Chloé blinked, tilting her head in confusion “... well it’s a lunch date.” She said slowly “You can tell because she’s dressed up at work, if it was a dinner date than she would have dressed up after work. Having a ‘date’ at lunch is usually saved for friends or business meetings. Also, there is a time line with the whole ‘oh, I only have an hour of my lunch before I have to get back to work’, thus not a whole lot of romance could happen.”
Everyone looked at Chloé with bewildered expressions. Although she had been doing better with talking with people since having her almost weekly sessions with Mlle Regal, it was still weird for them to hear her talk without her bullying someone. Although she was still far from perfect, and sometimes the old Chloé would resurface to show her ugly side.
“Hey, who’s that?” Sabrina suddenly said, looking out the window. All the students looked and saw a man walking up the stairs to their floor. He was wearing a white collared shirt with a dark blue dress pants and matching blazer. He had light blond hair, tanned skin and even from a far the class could see he had ember coloured eyes. He appeared to be looking for a certain room, as he was looking at the numbers on the door frames.
“Oh my goodness! What if it’s Mlle Regal’s date?!” Rose said excitedly, placing her hands on her cheeks excitedly.
Alya’s eyes grew to the size of dinner plates “Oh my god I know who that is!!! That’s Blaine Bishop!!!!” She exclaimed, grabbing onto Marinette for support as she jumped up and down “International investigation reporter and photographer for multiple magazines and newspapers!!! He’s practically my idol and-“ she gasped loudly as she saw the man see Mlle Regal came out of her office and he made a beeline for her, kissing her on the cheek on greeting.
“AND HES DATING MLLE REGAL!!”
All the students clambered to the window, watching the two talk for a few minutes before the manoffered Mlle Regal his arm, which she took with a slight laugh.
“Oh my god I want to talk to him, but I don’t want to interrupt their date, but I want to talk to him!” Alya said, shaking Marinette slightly with excitement. Chloe watched the whole display of Alya’s fangirling, before looking out the window again seeing that the couple was going to have to walk by their door in order to get to their stair case.
The blonde quickly walked down the stairs of the classroom and opened the door of the classroom as Mlle Regal and her companion walked by. “Mlle Regal!” She said in a loud, happy voice as the class looked at Chloe in shock. “Are you off to lunch?”
The Counsellor looked at Chloe curiously with a raised brow, but still smiled “Yes, I am. Is everything alright Chloe?” She asked kindly as the man she was with looked at the blonde with mild interest.
“Oh yes, I just wanted to make sure that you’ll be coming back for our session after school is all.” Chloé said smiling “I know how busy you get and I hope you haven’t forget.”
Mlle Regal let out a soft laugh, gently patting Chloe’s shoulder with her free hand “Don’t worry Chloé, I haven’t forgotten. I’ll be back before lunch is over, right Blaine?” She asked, looking at her male companion. Said man let out a small, deep chuckle “It’s almost impossible to get you away from work Carmine, but I promise that I’ll have her back to continue to preform her duties to the school.”
“Blaine...” Chloé said slowly, before her eyes widened comically as if she didn’t know who she was talking to “You wouldn’t happen to be Blaine Bishop would you? The reporter?”
Blaine looked somewhat shocked to be recognized by the student, but Mlle Regal looked at Chloé with slight curiosity and mild suspicion, because she knew full well that Chloe knew who Blaine was.
“Yes, I am. I’m surprised to be recognized, I don’t usually show my face too often to get recognized without saying my full name.” He said slowly, but still smiling as he held out his hand “It’s very nice to meet you, Chloé wasn’t it?”
Chloé took his hand and shook it “It’s very nice to meet you as well, however I know someone who would like to meet you even more if you have the time.” Chloé said encouragingly.
Mlle Regal looked at Chloé curiously, before glancing towards where all the other students were gathered together, noticing Alya was still gripping tightly onto Marinette. She than glanced back to Chloé as a look of understanding came across her face “Well, we have a lunch reservation to get to, but like I said we should be back before lunch ends, do you have a few spare moments to talk to the students about your job and give some advice, Blaine?”
Blaine looked at Mlle Regal with a raised eyebrow, but still continued to smile “Well, I do owe you a favour, and I have no plans this afternoon. So sure. Is your friend interested in journalism?” He asked kindly as Alya ran down the stairs finally.
“I am! It’s me! Alya Césaire!” She said quickly, almost shaking with excitement “I’m the creator of the Ladyblog!” She said holding out her hand to shake his.
Blaine looked at Alya for a few moments, a look of recognition on his face as he shook her hand before a look of realization came across his face as he released her hand Oooh.... OH!” He looked at Mlle Regal with a wide smirk on his face “I see how it is.”
He looked back at Alya “Mlle Césaire, I would love to discuss your blog with you, and give an honest critic if that’s alright, but it would have to be after lunch, because as you can see.” He gestured towards Mlle Regal “As you can see, Carmine here got all dressed up, and it would be a shame not to go out so the world can acknowledge her beauty before she’s stuck in doors all day.”
Alya simply smiled widely, nodding wildly as Rose actually squealed “Of course, don’t let us keep you from your date!” Rose said excitedly, jumping up and down.
Blaine and Carmine looked at each other in a confused manner, before looking back at the students “Its not a date.” Blaine said in a matter of fact tone, taking Carmine’s arm again as they walked. Carmine looked over her shoulder “And were not dating!” She called as they walked down the stairs.
~~~~~~~~~
The next period for the students was a free one, and Carmine had smoothed everything over with the principal allowing Blaine to have a projector, which the students were surprised about. Alya has insisted that the entire class should be here for this, even thought Carmine had tried to warn her against it, even Blaine had said that this may be better done in private but Alya had insisted.
The only ones that had stayed however were Alya, Nino, Marinette, Adrien, Rose, and Juleka. Chloé and Sabrina had decided to tag along as well, if only to see more of Mlle Regal’s so called ‘not a date’ friend. Max had decided last minute to stay to learn a bit more about the reporter, and Alix had dragged him along.
“Okay!” Blaine said, taking the clicker for the slides from Carmine “Thank you my dear. Now I’ll be talking about my job a bit, as well as give a constructive critic to the Ladyblog-“ he stopped short when Nino’s hand shot up, looking anxiously at Carmine, who was sitting in Mlle Bustier’s chair. Caline had a prep period and allowed them to use her classroom.
“Mlle Regal, um... will this be a... fair critic?” He asked hesitantly.
Carmine blinked, than remembered her conversation she had during his session about critics. “Mr. Blaine Bishop has been an investigatory reporter for the last ten years and has promised me he would give Alya’s blog a fair review,”
She said simply before looking at Blaine “And he knows what will happen if he doesn’t.”
Blaine let out a nervous laugh “And this is why you never make a Regal mad, they make you pay royally for it. Now than!” He clicked the controller and a screen shot of the Ladyblog appeared on screen “Let’s get starter. Now I only had an hour to do this, but I think-“
“YOU MADE A SLIDE SHOW DURING YOUR DATE!?” Rose yelled, than blushing as everyone looked at her.
“Not a date.” Carmine and Blaine said at the exact time, in the same flat tone.
“Anyways, like I said, I had one hour to make this, and roughly an hour and a half to cover this, so! The Ladyblog was founded shortly after the first incident which was Stoneheart, right off the bat we are off to a good start!” He complimented and Alya was practically beaming from her seat.
“We have video of the incident, we have an interview with some of the victims of the akuma, as well as Ladybug’s speech to Hawkmoth, which excellent angle I might add.” He said, clicking the controller to show a GIF of the first ever Miraculous Ladybug being used.
“Shortly after this, Alya set up a form for future victims of Akumatiziom to reach out to each other, as well as the akuma alert system we all use today. The main goal of the blog was also stated, to assist Ladybug and Char Noir in their attempt to stop Hawkmoth.” He continued to show screen shots of the different things Alya added to the site. “This was an excellent start, and the site was on the right path to become a well recognized news blog.”
Alya froze for a second, looking at Blaine as he looked back at her with a serious expression. “...w-was?! What do you mean was?! It IS a recognized news blog!” She began to argue back, but stopped, seeming to remember that this was an adult as well as someone she admired.
Blaine looked at her for a hard moment, leaning back against the desk as he looked at the rest of the class “Can anyone here give me the textbook definition of news, in regards news media or journalism?”
Max raised his hand instantly “newly received or noteworthy information, especially about recent or important events.” He said, reciting it as if he had the dictionary right in front of him. Blaine nodded, not even looking behind him as he clicked the controller and three screen shots were shown, one of the interview with Lila about her being Ladybug’s ‘best friend’, one from when Alya suspected that Ladybug possibly went to their school, than a retraction starting She was possibly 5000 years old, and the last one was a picture from three days ago of Ladybug and Chat Noir kissing.
“Tell me, how is any of this noteworthy information?” Blaine asked, still looking directly at Alya “These are just the three most pro dominant examples but there are others, for example your whole theory section of your blog in your attempt to unmask Ladybug, as well as the other super hero’s of Paris is all over the place.”
The classroom was deadly silent, the students shyly looking towards Alya who seemed to be at a loss for words. You could see her mind scrambling, trying to find an logical answer.
“B... because Ladybug never mentioned having a civilian friend, and I made a retraction about the student theory... and...” she looked at the last picture, the one of the two hero’s kissing, her current most popular post and was still trending three days later “... a lot of people wanted to see them admit their feelings for each other.”
Blaine nodded “alright, let’s start with the first one. Ladybug never mentioned having a civilian friend, why?” He asked, looking around the room. Marinette looked at her best friend before hesitantly raising a hand “Because that would put the civilians friends and family in danger?”
“Exactly!” Blaine said “By posting this, you have essentially put a giant target on this girls back, also, you will always have people saying ‘oh I’m best friends with this super hero’ or ‘oh I know this director’, what you do in those situations is you always fact check. You call around, you try and get the story from the horses mouth as it were! Did you ask Ladybug to clarify the story?”
Alya looked down, shaking her head slightly “Volpina happened shortly after the interview went up, and I kind of forgot about it.”
Blaine nodded “Okay, that’s fine, your human and your allow to make mistakes, however this” and he pointed at the interview “Was posted without fact checking, which can easily damage or possibly ruin your career. My recommendation is to remove it, and post retraction piece to show your willing to admit your mistakes, I’ve had to do a few of those when new information came to light, it’s not the end of the world.” He said kindly before clicking the controller.
“Same thing goes for the schoolmate to 5000 year old theory, that’s all it is, is a theory. It should have been posted in your theory forums instead of your main news feed, also, try and get as many factors together as possible before posting a theory, it makes you look more reputable.” He commented, looking at the screen as she clicked the controller and an enlarged version of the LadyNoir picture showed.
“Now, you said a lot of people wanted to see proof of their ‘relationship’. Now, a lot of people want to see Big Foot, and the Loch Ness monster, that doesn’t mean it exists.” Blaine said “And no, I’m not stating you staged this, or it’s photoshopped, but I know this was taken either during or after Oblivio, an akuma that makes you forget your entire identity.”
He than gave an unamused expression towards Mlle Regal who was looking anywhere but at him “I know this because I got hit by one of their beams and a friend thought it would be hilarious to tell me I’m a secret agent and film the whole thing, as everything she would tell me about ‘myself’ was utter lies and nonsense but since I couldn’t remember of course I believed them.” Carmine’s lips were in a tight line, clearly trying not to smile.
Blaine looked back towards Alya again “Alya, was this taken before Miraculous Cure was used and were Ladybug and Chat Noir hit with the beam, forgetting who they were?”
“Yes to both.” Alya said in a matter of fact voice.
“Okay” Blaine said noddding “Now for this picture, this very, VERY intimate picture, did you get both of the hero’s consent to post it on the internet?”
He asked, once again in a very serious tone.
Alya froze for a moment “Ch-Char Noir said it was fine...” she began, but looked down in shame “... after Miraculous Ladybug was used, Ladybug was pretty mad that I took the picture... but I was so excited I posted it anyway... should I remove it too?”
“But why?” Adrien asked “I mean, it’s not that big of a deal is it?”
“Actually yes, it is a very big deal.” Blaine said, as a new slide appeared, this one actually having nothing to do with Ladybug, or anything in Paris for that matter. It showed a somewhat blurry picture of a woman, her bare chest censored with a black bar.
“This is the Duchess of Cambridge on her honeymoon with her husband, Prince William. Duchess Kate had been on her balcony, enjoying her vacation with a little sun bathing when this shot was taken, and than sold to the highest bidder to be published in all of the magazines across the world. This picture was taken, and distributed without her consent, is this right?” Blaine asked the class, and got a resounding no from everyone.
“Than this, technically, isn’t either.” He stated as he showed the previous slide of the kiss “If Ladybug was mad just about the photo being taken, than, if you valued her privacy and her wishes, the photo should have been destroyed. Doesn’t matter if Chat Noir was ‘happy’ or ‘Excited’ about the picture, if half party involved wasn’t happy, than it should have been deleted.”
Adrien looked angry at that for some reason “But their celebrities, this kind of thing happens-“
“Adrien, I’m going to stop you right there.” Mlle Regal suddenly said, looking at him “... Chat Noir and Ladybug are not celebrities, they are hero’s and in that sense should be considered as public figures. Similar to the fighter fighters, police officers, or even the Mayor. They are not musicians, movie stars or celebrities, even though we treat them like such sometimes. They are held to a higher stander than that.”
“Also, the whole ‘LadyNoir’ ship has never truly happened because both parties involved haven’t agreed to it.” Blaine said “And before anyone says ‘oh she’s playing hard to get’ or ‘their keeping it a secret’ Ladybug has gone on record, repeatedly, stating that they are not a couple, and has given strong evidence to show she only has platonic feelings for him.” He pulls up another slide, this one showing Ladybug from the official interview with Nadja. “Carmine my dear, are any of these expressions showing lust, love or embarrassment?”
Mlle Regal blinked, looking up at the slide for about five seconds “Only the first one is showing embarrassment, which I believe is from when the interviewer kept asking about the relationship, but the rest show annoyance and anger.”
“Have any interviews show Ladybug to have romantic feelings or has she stated she has romantic feelings for Chat?”
“None that I am aware of...”
“Okay, ergo, LadyNoir has yet to happen. Will it happen in the future, maybe, as it stands now though, I don’t think so. There is also the possibility that Ladybug May have a significant other in her civilian life, which can’t be ruled out, but I’m not sure.” Blaine reaches the end of his slide show and walks up to where Alya is sitting, tears beginning to stream down her face.
“... I’m terrible. What if Ladybug does have someone in her civilian life and I posted her picture cheating? And she was so mad, she may never trust me again, I may never be Re...” she hiccuped, looking at Blaine “Did I mess up?”
Blaine kneeled down so he was eye levelled with Alya “No, you made a few mistakes here and there, but there is no such thing as an unfixable problem. In the end though, it’s your blog and you have to decide what you do with it. But I will warn you now Alya, that if you continue to go down this path, focusing only on what will get you views and notability, your blog will only be known as a tabloid that doesn’t care about the true, hard facts. That’s something I don’t think you want.”
Alya sniffed, shaking her head “No... no it’s not...” wiping the tears away “So... should I take the photo down?”
The reporter nodded “That would be a good step, and also post why you took it down. Take some of my other comments to heart to, and I’ll tell you what.” He brought out a small metal case “I’m gonna check the blog again in two weeks time, and if I see changes that I like, I’ll gladly find you an internship with the company I am working for over the summer.” He said, pulling out a business card “And if you have any questions, I’ll gladly answer them.”
Alya’s eyes widen as she slowly reached for the card but Blaine pulled it back at the last minute “However, I want to see those changes, and I will only give you this card on one condition...” he looked at her in a dead serious expression “... do not involve me in shipping wars, you will lose.”
Alya blinked, before she burst out laughed, holding her sides tightly “O-okay, deal!” She said taking the card as the bell rang.
“Alright, get to your next class everyone!” Mlle Regal called, smiling brightly as they walked out. Alya stopped momentarily in front of Mlle Regal and Blaine “... I’ll have those changes done by the end of this week Mr. Bishop... and I’m not gonna try to find Ladybug’s identity anymore, that will paint a target on her back like Lila won’t it?” The two adults nodded as Alya looked at them seriously.
“I have a new target to track, and his name is Hawkmoth!”
Sorry this is random, but those blundstone boots you posted awhile ago, can I ask some questions? Mainly, are they comfortable for everyday wear, do you really feel the heel height, and do they run narrow, wide, or normal? Thanks!
Oh yeah totally!
1. They're super comfy. I walk about 2 - 3 miles a day in these bad boys, they've become my go to winter shoes (dry and warm feet are an incredible thing)
2. I'm not the person to ask about feeling the heel height as I regularly wear much higher heels and walk rather long distances in them (plus standing for many hours a day in heels for my job). That being said I think they give the illusion of more lift than they offer because of the silhouette. They feel flatter than like... idk riding boots, which they're most comparable to.
3. I think they're maybe a little narrower compared to the traditional blundstones but they have a more relaxed fit than most other Chelsea-style boots I've ever tried, the profile of the toe is pointed but not like squish-the-toes pointy if that makes sense. I actually like a narrower/snugger fit in my shoes so again this part of the review is subjective.
I'd try them before you buy them if possible, I know people are kinda divided on the fit of blundstones in general.
Note
Merci for the recommendation for Blundstone boots! I’m reading reviews & the sizing seems to be off for some people. Did you size down at all? Thanks again! 🙂
I didn’t! I normally wear size 9 or 10 (10 in boots) and mine are 9,5. AND I wear thin or big socks with them :)
